    Improving Qatar water

    Improving Qatar water

    DURATION: 10.12.2018 to 23.01.2022

    BUDGET: 60,000.00 USD

FUNDING: QATAR National Research Fund , NPRP10-0131-17300

    ABOUT THE PROJECT

The project IMPROVING QATAR WATER USE/REUSE EFFICIENCY THROUGH A BEHAVIOURAL LENS is funded by the QATAR University and the QATAR National Research Fund – National Priorities Research Program. The project aims at the development of an Agent Based Model (ABM) to Qatar’s water demand landscape and its application to simulate the responses of different water users (households, commercial enterprises, government) to appropriate water demand management and water reuse policies. Additionally, within this project, a strategic water resource management model of Qatar will be developed, at an appropriate resolution, which will translate the water demand scenarios of the above mentioned ABM work to quantitative assessments of water balance improvement in the longer term (e.g. improved resilience to water scarcity).
