Research Associate, Computer Engineer/ MEng, MSc, DIC -Expert in Digital Twin Developing
Mr. Ilias Chrysovergis graduated with honors from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and pursued postgraduate studies in Telecommunications and Signal Processing at Imperial College London.
During his studies, he contributed to the AMANDA project, a virtual and augmented reality application designed to combat school bullying.
His work included application design and development, research on how VR affects empathy, and developing a business model, which led to winning first place in Microsoft’s “Imagine Cup” and securing a patent from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
During his military service, Ilias developed a VR training application for soldiers, which earned him recognition from high-ranking military officials.
His professional journey includes research at the University of Cyprus on wireless communications and machine learning for communication systems and roles as a VR & ML Software Engineer at ORamaVR, where he developed a 3D session recording process for VR and contributed to machine learning models for user performance evaluation.
Ilias has also collaborated with universities, research centers and international companies and co-founded Metatopia, an XR studio that pushes the boundaries of immersive technologies to create cutting-edge solutions across industries.
